How do kids become gay?

Kids do not "become" gay.

Most experts believe "sexual orientation" -- whether you're gay, straight or bisexual -- is determined while the fetus is still in the mother's womb. When puberty starts, a lot of kids experiment with different kinds of sex, but eventually we discover what really turns us on.

If you're gay or bisexual, don't worry. It's a perfectly normal part of human sexuality. What's important is that your sex is Responsible, Consensual and Equitable.

Responsible means you and your partner know what you're doing, how to be safe, and are prepared to deal with any consequences (pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, etc.)

Consensual means you and your partner are both willing to do this, that you both understand that "no means no" even after things get going, and that you're both of age.

Equitable means you both enjoy it!

No. Just as a kid will not turn out to be straight just because their parents are straight.

Sexual orientation has a genetic component, but it does not appear to be hereditary.

There is the same chance of gay man fathering a gay child as there is a straight man fathering a gay child: about 3% to 8% chance.

Homosexuality is the way you are born, it cannot be influenced by other homosexual people, as e.g. family or friends.

You cannot become gay, you are born that way. However there is always a chance of a child being born gay, regardless of whether his parent(s) are gay.

I mean if we're going to be purely analytical, a gay man will have hopefully a great relationship with another man, which doesn't result in children.
