How do people become possesed?

There would be those who hold, with some justification, that those who get possessed are first of all dealing with something they may not appreciate or understand in terms of the damage it may do them. Satan loves to disguise himself as an angel of light and so people with various needs, including a need for power may seek this for themselves, thinking it will help them be free of their troubles whereas it will actually enslave and control them and cause untold harm and trouble.

Others would also hold, also with justification, that a person who has the indwelling Holy Spirit, that is who is a genuine Christian, cannot ever have this happen to them since darkness cannot dwell with light. It would also be beyond understanding as to why a person who truly knows the power of God would seek this anyway or need it.

I was wondering myself is it the people who don't have a true belief in the one and only god and Jesus that gets possessed or they don't have enough faith as there are alot of Indians and irakies so forth that ive seen possessed on the net that don't believe in Jesus or god.

Why? Because spirits can. There are, of course, rules they have to follow, but the rules are fairly easy to get around. Generally, if it is a ghost (a low class one) they either want to talk to someone, get something done, or want to feel again. If it is a demon or high class ghosts (called poltergeists), they generally want to have fun (which would be at our expense, ie pain. Lots and lots of pain).

How? They enter our bodies after permission is given or they cease control through sear power. They either share the body, push our souls out of our bodies, or devour and or kill our souls. The last two are the hardest to do because of the sear power that is required to force the soul from the body. A great deal of spirits, demons or ghosts, dont have the power to do this and so will probably not happen to just anyone.

Can anyone become possessed? Well yes and no. I would go so far as to say that everyone has the potential to become possessed, but there is a large group that cannot/will not be possessed. Most of these people take precautions to guard against malicious spirits.

There are some, though, that willingly let spirits enter their bodies, for a number of reasons. Some are psychics that share their bodies for a few minutes to let spirits talk to their relatives (those, generally, are good spirits). Some are people who want power and dont care what the cost is. Some are manipulated into letting a spirit in.

To get possessed by a demon, or at least to believe that you are possessed by a demon, you must first be a Christian or a Muslim. According to the Bible, demon possession is very common... as Jesus both conversed with them and cast them out of people regularly. And the people with whom Jesus dealt were neither "Christians" nor "Muslims." They were Jews.

The King James Version [KJV] calls them "unclean spirits." The New Living Translation[NLT] calls them "evil spirits." The Living Bible [LVB] calls them "demons."

In every case, demons are "angels"... "spirit beings" whom the Bible reveals followed Satan in his "government coup attempt" that he launched from earth against God's throne in heaven in the beginning.

"...you said to yourself, 'I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God's stars [angels - see Rev.1:20]... I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.'" (Isa.14:13-14 NLT)

Satan and the angels [demons] that followed him were met in battle in the heavens... overcome... and forced back down to earth.

The "demons" that Jesus cast out of people when He walked the earth as a man, were restrained on the earth before He made man [all things were made by Him... - John 1:3].

"Demons" have been possessing people and influencing their thought and reasoning processes since man's creation [see Gen.3].

The "demons" Jesus cast out of men had possessed previous generations of men before Jesus was born in the flesh. And when the generation of Jesus' day passed away... all the succeeding generations since were and are, to this day, "fair game" and subject to the influence of these SAME "spirit beings" and the "spirit realm.

Not all men are "possessed" by demons... but this present world is subject to their influence.

This world and everything in it is "subject to influences by angels"... by both "demons" and God's obedient angels:

But... like God who is a Spirit... angels, too, are spirit beings, "invisible to the human eye." And because they are invisible -- flesh and blood mankind has always had difficulty "believing" in their existence.

Except for possibly extremely uncontrollable and violent people... spiritually blinded man fails to recognize the influence of angels and/or those suffering from various forms of demon possession.

In these last days... faithless man's inability to admit to... and recognize when a man is possessed by "demons" has led to the modern big business development of "mind-altering drugs" and government-forced medical treatments, that maybe treat a few symptoms while compounding the person's suffering with even more detrimental side-effects; instead of, through Faith in Jesus Christ, casting the demons out.

The "demons" are real. They populate this world awaiting God's Judgment for their crimes -- even as they continue to do what they do best: twist and pervert the Truth of God in the minds and hearts of deceived men everywhere.

The average person in the world remains utterly blind to the astounding Truth about angels: good and bad ones. They can't bring themselves to "believe" in them or God.

The angels believe, however... even if men don't:

Yes, any person CAN be "demon possessed." But they'll need the Power of Christ to get it back out again. And you really don't want to go there.

In short, Yes they can.

Anyone of any belief can be demon-possessed.

You don't have to believe demons exist to be actually possessed by demons. In fact, the easiest people to be possessed by demons are those who don't believe they exist.

That means this includes agnostics, atheists, even particular christian denominations, churches, individuals, and all non-christian religions, all those who don't believe what God says, are open to demon possession. Some religions are actually demonic.

On the other hand, there are no atheist demons: they all know God exists and fear Him:-

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Demons can possess anyone at all if they open the doors of their mind and invite them in.

Can a man be demon-possessed? Some men are just plain evil.

One example of a demon-possessed man was Adolph Hitler.

He 'charmed' the:

Adolph Hitler's Generals were fearful, even terrified, of him. For example, they would see him with the intention of doing one thing, he would rant and rave, and they would then agree to do the opposite. Hitler was definitely demon-possessed: all you have to do is see the 1930's Newsreels of a wild-eyed Hitler shrieking and yelling at the top of his voice. I have not seen any Newsreel of him speaking to an audience otherwise.

Other examples would be just about any great dictator you would like to name, such as Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, not forgetting Idi Amin!

Too many politicians and CEO's are manipulative, exploitative, have great charm, things seem to work out just in time just for them, are uncommonly lucky, and have a good press. By themselves these traits mean nothing, but put them all together and one has to seriously wonder whether such a person is demon-possessed.

Many criminals are demon-possessed. For example, Charles Manson. The list is endless. How do you tell? Look at their fruits:-
