According to most Christian interpretations, The Bible prohibits sex acts between men, but it does not define homosexuality at all.

The Bible was written and formalized long before the term 'homosexual' was first coined in Europe in the mid 19th century AD. Scripture, however, spoke of acts between same sex partners (what the Latin term means; homo means same), is several places in both the Old and New Testaments. It is an unacceptable behavior in God's Law for mankind.

In several places in the Bible, this deviant behavior is called 'sexual immorality' and is explicitly explained. God of the Bible is against 'sin' which is defined as 'lawfulness' in 1 John 3:4 - referring to the Law of God.

Sexual immorality is not new, nor is it limited to homosexuality for that matter. For the New Testament period, the Apostle Paul addresses this issue in Romans 1:26-29; 1 Corinthians 6, specifically verse 9; and 1 Timothy 9-10. From God's point of view, this type of behavior is unacceptable.

There are several other Scripture that refer to this type of behavior worth noting: Genesis 19:1-25; Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13; Judges 19:1-25. After reading these, it becomes clear how explicit the Bible is towards this behavior.

Through the millennia, mankind has sought to 'disguise' this behavior in many ways such as the disproven idea someone is born 'gay.' Not so but some people are born with a propensity to be attracted to the same sex as others are born attracted to alcohol, lying, cheating, etc.
