unless you are on a water meter then you have to estimate it as closely as possible based on i.e how much water you flush the toilet with each day, amount of water used in X amount of showers/bathing, food preparation and washing food utensils etc and of course drinking - its not perfect but it gives you the base line to work on if you are looking into water usage and conservation
