How do you know we are losing natural resources?

a natural resource is a resource made over time in nature and ill give you an example of what is happening

say in nature 12billion gallons of oil are produced in cavaties underground every 1 million years (those numbers arent real)


then say earth has been producing said oil for only 2 million years


that would make 24 billion gallons of potential oil to be used


but there are soo many humans on earth using oil in gas for cars that we are using up say 15 billion gallons of oil in 1 million years


resulting overtime in a shortage of oil.
