The effects of cocaine on society show themselves in different ways. At work, cocaine is costly in terms of lost work time and inefficiency. Cocaine users are more likely than nonusers to have occupational accidents which endanger themselves and those around them. The effects of cocaine on society can be seen in drug-related crime problems. Cocaine use can disrupt neighbourhoods with violence among drug dealers, threats to residents, and the crimes of the addicts themselves. In some neighbourhoods, younger children are recruited as lookouts for the police and helpers because of the lighter sentences given to juvenile offender.

This is a very difficult situation you are in and I am sure you are well aware of it. Dealing with drug addicts is usually a losing situation. Getting off of drugs isn't the easiest and staying off of drugs is even more difficult. There is a very low percentage of drug addicts that can stay off drugs. Living together or marriage is difficult at best and by remaining in this situation you are piling too many problems onto your relationship too quickly. If you want to have a family, this is not the way to go. You need to take time out and really be honest with yourself about what you want out of life. Living with a druggie is extremely difficult and you can never completely trust them. If they get hooked on drugs again before you know it they'll steal everything you own to supply their drug habit. There is usually no warning if the person goes back on drugs. All it takes is one argument and he hits the streets looking for that fix.
