It has little, if any affect on the ozone in our atmosphere. The major factor for ozone thickness of the "layer" is sunlight. Without sunlight the layer thins. With sunlight hitting oxygen, we end up with ozone. This is why the only holes we see are the annual thinning areas at each pole during the end of their winter months.

Has the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere increases or decreased since 1860?

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has increased since 1860 due to human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. This increase in CO2 is a major driver of climate change and global warming.

How has the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere changed over the past few years?

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has been increasing steadily over the past few years. This increase is primarily due to human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, which release large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. The rising levels of CO2 contribute to global warming and climate change.

How does cutting down forests contribute to the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere?

When forests are cut down, the trees release the carbon they have stored into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide (CO2). This process, known as deforestation, contributes to the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, which is a major factor in climate change.

What three processes increase the amount of carbon in the atmosphere?

Three processes that increase the amount of carbon in the atmosphere are combustion, deforestation, and respiration. Combustion of fossil fuels for energy and transportation releases carbon dioxide (CO2) as a byproduct. Deforestation reduces the number of trees that can absorb CO2, while respiration from living organisms naturally emits CO2 as they break down organic matter for energy. Together, these processes contribute significantly to rising atmospheric carbon levels.

What will happen if deforestation continues to the green plants on the plants?

The excess CO2 in the atmosphere will increase global warming.

What will happen if deforestation continues to destroy the green plants on the plants?

The excess CO2 in the atmosphere will increase global warming.

What processes does release co2 into the atmosphere?

Processes that release CO2 into the atmosphere include burning fossil fuels, deforestation, industrial processes, and land-use changes. These activities lead to the increase in CO2 levels in the atmosphere, contributing to climate change and global warming.

What would happen if more forests are cut down?

the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere would increase. apex

Why is the CO2 level high in the atmosphere?

The CO2 level is high in the atmosphere primarily due to human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. These activities release large amounts of carbon dioxide into the air, leading to an increase in atmospheric CO2 levels.

How much CO2 is put in the atmosphere each year?

Approximately 40 billion tons of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere each year from human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and industrial processes. This has led to an increase in the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming and climate change.

Does CO2 levels in the atmosphere rise or fall over time?

Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the atmosphere have been rising over time due to human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. This increase in CO2 is a major contributor to global warming and climate change.

Which would happen if more forests where cut down?

the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere would increase :)
