Litter hurts the earth in many ways.

First, some litter are made of materials such as plastic. These materials are not biodegradable. That means it will not dissolve in a natural environment, and may stay where it is thrown for a long time, hurting the organisms around it. Plastic bottles and bottle caps are examples of plastic litter.

However, some litter are biodegradable. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD LITTER THESE THINGS. They are paper, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper.....etc. Basically, they are the things that will dissolve if it rains, or if something eats it.

Littering can affect the Earth badly! Long ago children would be able to play in the rain and have fun! Now from all the littering there is assid in the rain wich can't be good for us. From cars poluting the air it can create smog. Smog is like fog but yello. It may sound cool but trust me its not! The smog is completely polution and its unhealthy for us to breathe. Stop littering! littering in an animals habitat is like the polution to us. it wont hurt them istantly but it will hurt them over time because the chemicals can actually shorten their life spans if it goes to far for example the oil spill in the Golf of Mexico it didnt kill the animals istantly in that year but look at what it did to all of those animal most of them died before we could help them and now it has also started to hurt us. so next time your about to throw something out the window of your car or something just remember the animal
