People use gasoline for transportation and petroleum based products of all kinds. If people were not using the products that are a result of extracting petroleum from the earth, there would be no demand for oil and no oil spills. In all fairness to consumers, though, unless we are willing to go back to the horse and buggy days, demand new technology (which we actually already have) for powering vehicles, stop buying products that are made from oil ( which are more vast than the average person even knows), etc., we really have no choice at this point.
It can definitely contribute to oil spills.
oil spills kill or harm wild life and it pollutes the earth
Yes, oil spills can affect marine life very much! It is sad to think about how much an oil spill can kill.
Oil extraction and consumption contribute to air pollution, water pollution, and habitat destruction. Additionally, the burning of oil releases greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change. Oil spills can also have devastating effects on marine life and ecosystems.
We can not get to the Crude oil easy, and you normaly find it under the sea, and as you are digging under the sea and the oil spills it will cause pollution and kill the sea creatures. -Bethany Wilden-
pollution could be one problem. Another problem is oil spills. That happens a lot when getting oil from the ocean bottom.
Oil spills are huge problems to the environment. The obvious one is that the oil and slick can harm marine life as well as birds who simply land to get their food. This causes death to animals, dirtying our waters, ruining the eco system, and ruining some of the food chain. The oil spills, if they reach land, can get into the wildlife and plants of the region. If the plants get oil into their roots they will die. Oil spills pose a great threat to wildlife, people, economy, and plants as well. We have to do all in our power to help animals and wildlife who have been sullied by these oil spills.
Oil spills can have detrimental effects on all four spheres. In the atmosphere, oil spills can release harmful volatile compounds when the oil evaporates. In the biosphere, oil spills can harm marine and terrestrial life through direct contact and ingestion of oil. In the hydrosphere, oil spills can contaminate water bodies, affecting aquatic ecosystems and water quality. In the lithosphere, oil spills can result in soil contamination, impacting plant growth and overall ecosystem health.
By seeing a lot of oil spills
yes caboolture river has oil spills all the time it is very common for its oil spills
I have included two links. Oil spills cause pollution, and can be injury or death to workers on rigs. Many spills are small, and do not cause wide spread environmental damage. See links.
