Check the oil cap and the drain plug, as well as the oil filter.
5w30 just like it says on the filler cap Check again.... my oil filter cap on the V6 states 5W20 oil. If you run 5W30 then not too long afterwards your gonna be putting a new camshaft in the car. $$$$. The oil galleries in the engine do not handle 5W30 very well.
Well since the dipstick is under the drivers seat. I would hazard a guess the the OIL CAP is also under the drivers seat. You should be able to tell which is the oil cap because it will have a picture of an oil can on it or the word OIL.

well simply for any car you can tell by checking the oil or the oil cap. if you see white residue on the cap or on the dipstick you got water in the oil. if you also change the oil you can see water in it. that is simply the only ways you can know. good look with your alero
You have an owners manual. Open it and look in the maintenance section. There you will find the correct weight oil to use in your Fiesta. It may even be listed on the oil fill cap. Any major brand will work well as long as it is the correct weight.
