Homosexuality is not determined by genes. The theory is that homosexuality is associated with a combination of gene sequences (not individual genes) with gestational hormones.

Gene sequences can occur and recur regardless of whether certain individual genes become rare or even extinct.

If homosexuality is genetic, born to parents that aren't, that would mean the gene is recessive. Suppose H is heterosexual and h is homosexual. If two Hh's marry and the kid gets h from both parents, s/he is then gay.

Is homosexuality against evolution?

This depends on who you are asking. Some people will say no (because they will not have any children of their own). These people usually do not like homosexuals. Some people will say yes (they will not pass on their genes to the next generation).

What is the reaction about homosexuality?

It depends on who you ask and where you are asking. The world is in a state of rapid evolution on the subject.

Gradual and sporadic changes occur constantly in nature and throughout the universe what biological term is used to describe these changes?

The term used to describe gradual and sporadic changes in nature and throughout the universe is evolution. Evolution is the process by which organisms change over time through genetic variation and natural selection.

How is cultural evolution similar to natural selection?

Cultural evolution is the phenomenon whereby cultural ideas, notions, views, etc. propagate throughout populations, like alleles propagate throughout population gene pools in biological evolution. Some propose that the way these ideas propagate throughout populations is similar to the ways of biological evolution, in that cultural ideas (or memes) are subject to a kind of cultural selection, that determines how fast they spread, and to what degree.

What is an evolution game?

a game where your creature changes/evolves throughout the game, famous evolution games are, evolution the game of life, spore, dark-spore(coming soon) and also two free flash games, monster evolution and bug evolution (but the last two defiantly aren't as good).

Does evolution often proceed at different rates for different organisms?

Yes. There is no set rate for evolution; the speed by which populations diverge behaviourally, morphologically and genetically is determined entirely by circumstance. Even different genes in the same population gene pool can have different rates of evolution.

What is the relationships among an organism's environment adaptations and evolution?

The relationship among an organism's environment, adaptations and evolution is that the environment will alter, so the organism has to adapt to the new environment. Throughout the years this has created evolution seen in fossils and history books

Mckinnels hypothesis on the evolution of homosexuality?

Mckinnels' hypothesis of homosexuality being an evolution of man is quite a perculiar and distinct theory(Also disturbing). This theory includes ideas so radical that it is almost unbelieveable however, the theory is quite straight forward if understood correctly. The theory was that "gayness"(see Homosexuality.) is an evolution of man to help with the growing problem of population growth. Mckinnel stated that whenever there was a problem in the past mammals have evolved to deal with it. E.g African lung fish moving onto land. So he proclaimed that humans evolved to help humanity deal with population. If humans infact all becanme "gay" then the population would drop dramatically and hopefully save the human race from population overload. The quote "people are born gay" obviously proves the fact that its an evolution/mistake in genetics. Mckinnel hoped that his theory would be realised and took on board by younger generations.

Why is evolution a continuous cycle?

Some would like to say that there is no such thing as evolution, some would argue for the idea. I suggest that the whole concept of evolution is a relative one, in which we as humans have determined what it is or isn't, as we do with most ideas. So what evolution is will be different for each person. Hence there is no need to say there is or is no evolution, but rather, this is my idea of it. Still there is a problem I feel, with the question itself. It asks about the "cycle" of evolution. That assumption may not be shared even by those who agree that we are an evolving species. Whether it be from a biological evolution or a spiritual one, does the process have to be cyclic? Could it be linear, or multi-dimensional? Could it be finite or infinite, even if it is determined to be cyclic? Thus the questioner needs to rephrase his or her question. I think when doing this, the answer will be found in the question! - Parinda

Is NOT a component of the theory of evolution by natural selection?

Acquired traits. The theory of evolution by natural selection focuses on inherited traits that provide a reproductive advantage. Acquired traits, which are not genetically determined, do not play a direct role in this process.
