In the long run, it even hurts the bully. Bullies bully as a way to feel better, but it really makes them respect themselves even less over time. Bullies will not be prepared to handle situations where others stand firm in their decisions since they have not had practice handling the disappointments of life. They may end up in situations they cannot bully their way out of. They may bully people, but they won't be able to bully cancer. They may bully others in prison, but they won't be able to bully their way out of a life sentence.

No, it is not right to bully. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech. Free speech has never been absolute. We prosecute people who lie under oath (perjury), who tell lies about people in print (libel), or who tell verbal lies about people (slander). In fact, no right is absolute, but is balanced by responsibilities. I was taught that "my rights end where your nose begins", something which bullies do not understand. We do not give people the right to assault others (which often goes on in physical bullying), and parents who abuse their children are prosecuted (and there is a vast difference between discipline, which is designed to get the child's attention and abuse which causes physical harm). Theft has never been a right in this country, and this is another way that people bully. Look up the ways in which people bully each other and you will find that those things are not protected by the Constitution. And by, the way, saying that something was a joke does not keep it from being bullying. And in case you're wondering, yes I was bullied as a child.

Cyberbullying is very wrong, i mean bullying as a whole is wrong, but with cyberbullying it hits the victim 10 times harder, sometimes it could be annonymous threats, or websites that are created and specifically targeted at one person. cyberbullying can lead to health problems such as Anoxeria and make people do very crazy things, cutting hair, shaving eyebrows etc. cyberbullying is anything that is sent digitally to harm another person mentally. if you are hurt physically you may get a few bruises that will go away in time, if you are called names and hurt mentally that could scar you for life.
