i remember as a child my mom use to grab my ear and twist it very hard to disapline me. i don't believe it's child abuse to grab your child's ear, however how u grab it my result in serious injury. there are better ways to disapline a child. i believe in a swat on the bottom will get the child's attention n leave less injury to their emotional n physical well being. a light swat on the bottom with your hand won't cause too much damage. i don't believe in spanking infants or toddlers. the way to get their attention i believe would be to teach them what no means by saying it pointing to what you mean by saying no n distracting their attention with something else. giving older kids a time out my be more effective then spanking. i believe spanking should be used as a last resort. there r some kids no matter what u say or do won't behave because of conditions such as a.d.d. or hyperativity n other such behaviour conditions. the best thing to do would be to get your child to a therapist to find out if he/she has some type of mental behaviour problems n begin to learn skills to deal with he/she. not all kids will respond to the same kind of disapline or therapy. that's why learning exactly what's wrong n experimenting with the skills learned from therapy is more helpful to the headstrong kids. showing love with disapline is the best therapy there is for the normal child. but for those who have the problems showing lots of love and patients working with them and giving meds if required is the best i feel. the best of blessings to anyone having kids with special problems that don't seem to respond to anything. give a lot of encouragement n praises when needed.

To administer ear drops to a child, have the child lie on their side with the affected ear facing up. Gently pull the earlobe down and back to straighten the ear canal. Place the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal and have the child remain in that position for a few minutes to allow the drops to reach the ear drum.
