Is silver a renewable or a non-renewable resource?

Silver is an element and all elements are renewable because they can not be destroyed by a chemical process. If it is made into a compound it may be difficult to get the element back out of the compound, but not impossible. So Silver and all the other elements can always be recycled, even from compounds.
