Sort of. I mean, I know where you're coming from. I'm presuming you want to know how to stop it? Why not take advantage of it? Don't get embarrassed, just go along with it. They're reasons will be exactly that, to embarrass you, so you need to do the opposite.

How many schools bullying policies cover homophobic bullying?

You should search the internet for homophobic bullying policy schools and see what you get. There's no way of knowing EXACTLY how many schools, but if you find two or three and see if they cover bullying for sexual orientation you should be able to find enough information for a small report.

Is making a character based on somebody you know bullying?

It really all depends on how you treat the character you make of them, but really you should learn about someone completely before you have any character at all of them. Technically, it's not bullying unless you treat this character disrespectfully, but it also at the same time is bullying to say one thing about something without knowing all teh facts.Added: It all depends on your definition of "making a character" of them. If you are peforming a parody (like a show or a skit on SNL) it is one thing. However, if you are going around "mocking" them in public by imitating them and their actions, it could be construed as a form of passive/aggressive bullying.

Why is it that when you are a kid or teen its just bullying but when you are an adult all of the sudden its harassement and assault?

Because the kids that get bullied are usually the ones that end up making the laws when they become adults. You will note that just bullying is now also turning into harassment and assaultNeither is socially acceptable, but for some reason many people 'tolerate' it in youth. It is not legal to assault someone. More and more youth are being charged with assault in bullying cases. I blame the parents for not knowing what their kids are doing and allowing them to get away with what will be socially unacceptable when they are adults. This sends really mixed messages to the youth of today.Ans:The difference between B & H is in the age of the people involved, and the legal ramifications of each. Bullying describes behaviours between children under the age of 12 that is offensive, cruel, intimidating, or humiliating. It is not normal aggression between very young children. Harassment is the adult term for bullying. Bullying is a relationship issue; harassment is a human rights issue.

When does discrimination become bullying?

A joke becomes bullying when the joke is said over and over as a form of passive-aggressive behavior. If you tell an offensive joke and are not aware of your audience or whether they would object, then you are just being rude. But if you deliberately aim your jokes at specific people there (not just hypothetical members of this or that group), knowing that they will find your jokes offensive, then that crosses over into bullying. If a given person walks into the room and then you start your jokes, then it is clear that it is bullying. For instance, a gay employee may walk into the room, and up starts the anti-gay jokes. The jokes are told to make the person feel uncomfortable.

A defintion of bullying?

Repeating physical (Pushing in hallways, beating up) verbal (name-calling, insults, rumors, most cyberbullying) or psychological (excluding from activities, ignoring) abuse, generally done by peers, always done by someone that knows they are upsetting you, and want to upset you. If the bully is trying to hide it, it's bullying. Another form of bullying most people aren't aware of is knowing who is being bullied, being capable of stopping it, and refusing to do so for no good reason. (Seeing the bully obviously bullying (Physically bullying, telling someone they're an ugly freak, etc) and claiming they didn't do anything, for example).Physical bullying can't be accidental. Verbal bullying if accidental is called teasing. Psychological is generally just cluelessness or, for the second example, 'zoning out'.

Is bullying good to somebody?

No, bullying is not good for anyone including the bully. A bully generally is the way they are by the environment in which they grew up or, sometimes they may come from a good family, but are spoiled and allowed to do as they please. Bullies pick their targets such as girls; young boys or those that are smaller in stature to the bully. The bully is miserable and has to take it out on someone and the victims often are traumatized by constant bullying or not knowing when they will be bullied yet once again. The suicide rate is rising where some victims are bullied to the point they become extremely depressed and find no way out. In some States and in some Provinces of Canada students are grouping together to protect victims of abuse and it is working! Police also have a task force to catch cyberbullys and the laws are starting to become activated as to how to deal with these bullies. Parents are encouraged to be proactive in the groups to help against bullying.

What is unintended bullying?

That would be bullying that is done accidentally. You might speak a certain way to all your friends. Then you speak to someone else like that, thinking it is okay. The victim might not even say anything because they either don't want to make a big deal, they are ashamed, they think you will stop soon, or whatever. So you might continue without knowing you are making them uncomfortable. Or, you speak roughly with your friends and you misidentify someone as one of your friends. Another example would be thinking someone did something to you when they didn't and targeting them for that.
