Thermal pollution effects EVERYTHING what it dose is it heats up the other water which in fact hot water has less oxygen in it causing the fish to die causing the plants in the water to die. Which makes us have less water in the wolrd since most of our oxygen comes from the ocean and causes us to have less air to breath causing the animals to have less food to eat from the ocean and having less air to breath which makes them die away. Then we have food shortages and then we die. So to answer your question Thermal pollution effects the WORLD.

What are short term and long term effects of thermal electricity?

Short-term effects of thermal electricity include air pollution from emissions and water pollution from cooling processes. Long-term effects include resource depletion and climate change due to the release of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.

What are some environmental effects of nuclear power?

Very little if they operate as designed-some thermal pollution.

In what sense is thermal pollution less-worrisome kind of pollution than most types of chemical pollution?

Thermal pollution can be a significant type of pollution as it can change th biota using a water body. This is especially a concern in smaller streams where the warm water can make up a significant fraction of the total flow. In large water bodies the warm water can dissipate or float on the top (it's density is less) until cooled. The thermal flux from sunlight can easily impact large shallow bodies of water as much as man-made thermal pollution. Thermal pollution is of less concern than chemical pollutants as it cannot bioaccumulate in the food chain. However, fish killed by thermal shock are just as dead as thos

What are the effects of the different types of environment degradation?

the effects are land pollution ,water pollution, and air pollution.

What are the effects of clean environment?

What happens to a wasted thermal energy?

Wasted thermal energy is typically dissipated into the surrounding environment as heat. This can contribute to an increase in the overall temperature of the surrounding area, which is known as thermal pollution and can have negative impacts on the environment. Reducing wasted thermal energy through energy efficiency measures can help minimize these negative effects.

Conduct an experiment to show how living things react to thermal pollution?

To demonstrate the effects of thermal pollution on living things, you can set up an experiment using two containers of water. One container should be at a normal temperature, while the other container should be heated to simulate thermal pollution. Then, introduce a sample organism that is sensitive to temperature changes, like daphnia or fish, into each container and observe their behavior and survival rates over time. This experiment will show how living things react to thermal pollution by comparing their responses in the normal and heated water.

Can thermal pollution reduce the oxygen supply in an aquatic ecosystem?

Yes, thermal pollution can reduce the oxygen supply in an aquatic ecosystem. When water temperatures increase, the solubility of oxygen decreases, resulting in lower oxygen levels in the water. This can have harmful effects on aquatic organisms that depend on oxygen to survive, leading to decreased biodiversity and potentially causing fish kills.

Why does thermal inversion occur and what are its effects on the environment?

Thermal inversion occurs when a layer of warm air traps cooler air near the ground, preventing it from rising. This phenomenon is often caused by calm weather conditions and can lead to the accumulation of pollutants near the surface. The effects of thermal inversion on the environment include increased air pollution levels, reduced air quality, and potential health risks for humans and wildlife.
