His issues were economic fairness, worker health and safety and better living conditions for migrant workers. Samuel Gompers and Jimmy Hoffa sought the same things. None of these were "bleeding heart liberals", socialists or communists, just people seeking a way to help achieve the American dream. America was built on capitalism and a dream for something better. Caesar believed that America owed the non workers and non producers something of value. Jimmy Hoffa obtained the same idea but with bullets and coercion. Gompers aided the enemy during WW1 in dividing the workers between America and the union. America won the war but the unions won the country.
