In some communities in South Africa, homosexuality of any kind is punished by death.

The right of lesbians and homosexuals are guarantee under the South African Constitution, ea they have the same right as any body else, can get married' adopt children, are allowed to practice their believes without fear of prosecution etc. This however does not go down well with everybody. Black communities in particular does not like these liberal laws and lesbian are frequently attacked and rape (corrective rape) is the legal term to "cure" them of their illness.
