overpopulation would result in, if I were to guesstimate, reduction of food supply and extinction of more animals which would cause a lot of the reduced food supply. We would have to turn to vegetarians. But then, we would use the ground too much and eventually render it useless soil from over planting.

In all, it's not a good thing.

Is overpopulation and hunger related?

yes, because if there is to many people in the world, then there is not enough food in the world to go around. Overpopulation is not the only thing related to hunger, though. It could be also caused by not enough food production, the money in the world not distributed correctly, someone being neglected from food, etc.
