Racism puts people or groups of people into certain molds, typically called stereotypes. By living in this kind of world we aren't judging people for who they are and their capabilities we're judging them on what we assume they are.

Problems that are the result of racism are unfairly judging one group's actions and punishing them more severely, unfair advantages to move ahead, unequal treatment in the work force or at schools. Almost every action in daily life is affected by racism, the biggest problem however is actually stopping to notice it and trying to change it.
