Chasing the ice cream man! (He does not come to rich neighborhoods.)

Creativity. Poor kids learn to turn a piece of paper or ball of tinfoil into hours of fun! When they cannot afford a new toy...

Appreciating the value of something.. Rich kids have ipods cellphones, etc and complain that so and so has a better one, poor kids are greatful to get a happy meal or a toy from the dollar store.

true friendships. Kids don't "use them" for their swimming pool or xbox, etc. if someone wants to come to their tiny crappy house is because they really truly like them

Having homeless people on your corner to see how fortunate you really are...and to give to them and know what that means...rich kids rarely get that opportunity.

These answers are from my seven year old son who recently moved with me (his young single mom) from a VERY poor neighborhood to a very rich one. Hope this helps! :)
