Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, home, domesticity, family, and the state
Hestia is the Greek Olympian goddess of fire, home, and hearth. Hestia's father is Cronus, King of the Titans, god of time/ages.
Hestia, being a Greek goddess, could meet whomever she wished.

Ancient Greece
Hestia's symbol is the hearth, home, and a fire. She is the goddess of the hearth. --Actually, Hestia was the only Olympian that did not have a symbol. She never took the time to choose one.
Hestia worked all the time. She tended the flames at Mount Olympus and had control over domestic life.
Hestia can not get married because like Artemis and Athena she took a vow to never marry a man. She swore to stay a virgin.
It matters if you like her, or don't. I think Hestia is nice; she gave up her seat of the 12 Olympians to Dionysus.
Hestia is the Goddess of the Hearth. The hearth, like a fireplace, was the place where the Greeks congregated at the end of the day with family. So, Hestia basically promoted peace and concord in the households.
