Planking is a yoga position where you balance on your toes and forearms while engaging your core by holding your trunk and backside up in the air as flat as a plank of wood and holding the position for an extended period of time. Planking builds the crucial muscles that control most of your body, your core. Not only crucial to balance and propoer posture, it also improves your instrument as a singer. You can sing while planking as an exercise. I suppose planking while someone is singing would be exactly that. You planking while someone else is singing.
I don't know how many different uses there are for "planking" but the only one I'm aware of is the planking in which a person lies stomach-down (straight like a plank), usually in weird public places like in the middle of the mall or on steps/railing.
Singing his praises is a way of saying stating all of the positive about a person. If you comment about what a good job someone did for you, you are singing his praises, especially if you tend toward hyperbole while doing so.

"singing ones praises" is a phrase that means to speak favorably about someone. To sing one's praises means to praise/commend someone. The idea of 'singing' the praises gives a sense of telling them to other people. Eg. The teacher was singing the praises of the student, to the class. Singing His praises means, singing praise to God. Capitalize "he" because he is refering to God. It means to praise someone or something very much.
It would mean that whoever said it to you is passing down a good singing voice down the family.
Singing in unison means singing together or at the same time
