When referring to media, the term "motif", often signifies a recurring literary or aesthetic theory, within a given category or genre of the media scope.

It could mean many things. For example, if your referring to computers, it could mean windows media player play list, or it could mean a variety of businesses and/or organizations.

Censorship in the Army means essentially the same as anywhere else. Its reason or purpose may be much different.Generally the restriction of information is done for a need to know or security purpose. And those are for obvious reasons.
