Coal is a nonrenewable resource!natural
When you build houses and roads over where the biomass grew. When the biomass takes longer than a human lifetime to regenerate. When the biomass culture destroys the ecosystem. ================= Thus in terms of fuel to power humanity it is clear that biomass in NOT a renewable resource.

the wind is a type of renewable energy-use it and some will come along later. once you burn coal,it's gone -certainly in your lifetime-it's non renewable. A renewable fuel is anything that can replenish at roughly the same rate we consume it. Corn used for ethanol is one example. The corn replenishes at a rate as fast as we use it. Non renewable is anything that we consume at a rate faster then we can replenish. For example, we have roughly 700 years of oil left. Once this is gone, we will not have anything left. Coal, oil, nuclear and trees are examples. Trees could be renewable if we consumed at the same or lower rate then we grew new ones to maturity.
Mainly rubber.
Coal is called a fossil fuel because it is formed from the remains of ancient plants and trees that were deposited and buried in the Earth's crust millions of years ago. Over time, heat, pressure, and geological processes transformed these organic materials into coal, making it a non-renewable resource.
The Tree... Because before a whole forest would grow trees started popping up and then they grew more trees around them and then they grew more trees around them and so on.
