The World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) uses the giant panda as its logo mascot. The original design idea was inspired by Chi-Chi, the giant panda making its home in London at the same time WWF was being founded. One of the founders, Sir Peter Scott, said of the logo idea, " "We wanted an animal that is beautiful, is endangered, and one loved by many people in the world for its appealing qualities. We also wanted an animal that had an impact in black and white to save money on printing costs." Although the logo picture has been updated since its first printing, the basic premise has remained the same and the giant panda has since become the symbol for the conservation movement as a whole.

You can't. You probably wouldn't want to anyway - they are highly endangered, and to purchase one would be thoroughly unethical. However, if you want to sponsor a giant panda, you can do that through an organization such as Pandas International, or perhaps contact a zoo that has a panda and ask about sponsoring their panda.
