It's a misleading and incorrect steriotype that homeless people have no work skills. Of course there are some that fit that description but many have jobs and/or work skills and are not 'layabouts' like many people think. Some people do become homeless after loosing their job. Some are college graduates. So to answer the question, it would depend on the experience of the homeless person.

A good place to start would be Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee. They focus on not only finding you a job but giving you the skills necessary to succeed. They have many outreach programs for the homeless. Also getting into contact with the Nashville Homeless Power Project might not be a bad idea. They are a community activist group that fights on the behalf of the homeless and are part of a coalition that helps the homeless get back on their feet.
There are many good psychology jobs available. Contact hospital mental wards. Another source could be psychiatrist's offices. Consider also working in a homeless center.
