What is being done about racism?

The government can't stop racism, but it has done things to help keep people from becoming victims of racism. One of them is the Civil Rights Act that was passed in 1964. Another is the establishment of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission which was formed in 1965.

First off, we are all one race (Earthlings) with differing characteristics. To answer your question Its not...racism does not need to be dealt with...it is the same as "fixing the environment". Humans are the ones that messed up the environment...all we have to do is stop messing it up and there will be no problem. Most people who claim to be dealing with racism are actually promoting it. To make any decision based on a person's race is racist. Affirmative action, for example is racist because it deals in context of race. Making note that Obama is a black president is racist. Saying there are minorities and majorities is racist. Etc, etc...

The US Government is still promoting racism through minority projects, 'affirmative action', multi-language manuals, etc.

Each and every action that promotes or supports division amongst American Citizens actively supports racism.

Even government acknowledgement of hyphenated Americanism promotes division and racism.

America has been called the 'great melting pot' for decades, so we should not support anything that does not promote unity.

That depends on who you ask. Affirmative Action is one thing that was done. But you can never stop racism because you cannot legislate a person's feelings.
