Gay is an old school word for happy, which then became a word to describe gay people in general. ( we are all happy right? lol ) Anyway then the word lesbian came out, to specify gay girls, and now a girl can be called both gay and lesbian. There will be more names eventually i supose... that's the evolution of language.
