Trees, like plantation pine, which grow quickly are renewable. Rainforest trees, that take hundreds of years to grow are not renewable.

A:I think in the way you mean all wood is renewable because it is a plant that can be replaced, or in the case of coppicing (and pollarding) re-grown. However you are discussing deforestation and habitat loss so I will add this -

In coppiced/ pollarded woodland the ecosystem has developed around the wood cutting cycles, it is rare that an entire wood will be felled at once so species either move on to areas of the wood that fit their niche or go into dormancy until the conditions are right again (for example birds will move around the wood over the cycle, daffodils however thrive around years 3 to 5 and will then remain dormant for the next few years).

On the other hand, in deforested areas where this is not the practice either because it is not a part of the local tradition or the tree species cannot be coppiced (conifers, for example) then even if the area is replanted it is very hard to bring back the habitat destroyed.

It depend entirely on what kind of wood it is. Most trees are reasonable fast growing, so burning wood from renewable trees is a renewable source of energy. However, rainforest trees can take thousands of years to grow and are so classed as non-renewable. So using non-renewable wood as firewood is a non-renewable source of energy.
