Christian answer:
Homosexuality isn't a sin. Many people have homosexual thoughts, which are uncontrollable and therefore not sinful. Some people are born with the wrong genetic make up; they're physically female, but the chemicals in their brain tell them they're a male, so their sexual attractions are for the same sex. This is not sinful because it is out of the person's control, and they cannot help it.
The sin comes in when the person finds love. Sexual intercourse, as stated in The Bible is for procreation and notpersonal gratification. (so senior citizens are forbidden to get married in the bible). With homosexual sex, there is no procreation possible, so the only reason for the act is physical pleasure, which is sinful. That means if an opposite sex couple is unable to have children, then they are forbidden to ever have sex and must get a divorce.
Real answer:
Gay people are not born with the wrong genetic makeup. The previous answer contains several falsehoods, is cold and heartless, and expects 4% of the population to live in loneliness their entire lives. There is no difference between a homosexual and a practicing homosexual. "practicing homosexual is not a real term" It just means someone found love.
There is only one difference: heterosexual relationships are between members of the opposite sex, and homosexual relationships are between members of the same sex.

Of course not! Few if any cardinals are homosexual and I known of none who are practicing homosexuals.
playing is just when you randomly play somethign like your instrument. practicing is when you practice for liek a concert or for school or even for a talent show you practice
As they say there is a big difference between a preaching Christian and a practicing Christian.
ok, the difference between homosexual and bisexual is that bi people like both sexes. homosexuals only date their own sex.
Straight (hetero): Attracted to the opposite sex/gender Gay/Lesbian (homo): Attracted to the same sex/gender
Homosexual is when you have an attraction of the same gender as you. But bisexual is when you have an attraction to males and females
You talk to them the way you would speak with anyone. There is no real difference between one who is heterosexual and one who is homosexual aside from their individual proclivities.
They most likely wouldn't, since both expressions mean the same thing. The only argument you can make for slight difference in meaning is that "homosexuality" might mean the attraction, and "homosexual behavior" might mean the activity.
