Basically, the main problem with logging is increased erosion and sedimentation, or the washing of soils into streams and rivers. When there is rainfall, trees help control infiltration of the rain into the ground, absorbing much of the water into the canopy and controlling the rate at which the remaining rain reaches the ground. The roots of the trees and other vegetation also help stabilize the soil, preventing excessive washing of topsoil into adjacent streams. But when an area is logged, these protective features are diminished or lost, allowing soil to be washed into the streams at accelerated rates. This is a problem because excessive soil in streams chokes out streams, destroys habitat, smothers aquatic communities, and increases the risk of uncontrolled flooding, among other effects.
The worst type of logging is clear cutting, wherein a whole stand of trees is removed, clearing a wide area. Rain can fall on these areas and mobilize tons of soil in a heavy storm. But even selective, light logging can be a problem if logging roads have to be cut into the forest, since it is know that logging roads alone can lead to serious erosion problems.
There are some engineering solutions that can help mitigate soil erosion from logging. But in the quest to tame nature through engineering, I would bet on nature in the long run.
sediment and bacterial pollution
contamination is when germs enter the water and pollution of water is when liquid waste or rubbish are thrown in the water.
In few words pollution is just destroying natural environment.they are of different types.air pollution, water pollution, sound pollution, soil pollution and so on.......

the effects are land pollution ,water pollution, and air pollution.
Pollution is of various types, and It needs different type of Pollution control1 Air Pollution. (It needs air pollution control2 Water Pollution. (It needs water pollution control )3 Noise Pollution (It needs noise pollution control )4 Environmental Pollution (It needs environmental pollution control )5 Soil Pollution (It needs soil pollution control )6 Gaseous Pollution (It needs gaseous pollution control )
There are many different types of pollution in China. They include: Waste, Electronic Waste, Industrial Pollution, Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Particulates, Lead, Persistent Organic Pollutants.
There are different types of pollutions. The three important types of pollutions are water pollution, land pollution and air pollution.
Logging can lead to sediment pollution as soil erosion occurs without tree roots holding the soil together. This sediment can wash into waterways, affecting water quality and aquatic habitats.
soil pollution. burning can cause air pollution and breathing cause respiratory problems. water pollution.
Yes, there are several types of pollution, including air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, and noise pollution. Each type of pollution can have different sources and causes environmental and health concerns.
