Tragically, Teachers, who are certainly ( necessary types, indeed professional) are permitted to throw strikes- it"s wrong for kids to play Hooky but Okay for the teachers. I lived through a teacher"s strike once, we had to make up all the lost days well into late June. For practical reasons, strikes against public safety organizations- Police, Fire, Sanitation- and methinks, also teachers, are illegal and should be. There, are, of course unions to represent all these occupational tasks- such as PBA, FMBA ( firemen) and so on.
