What makes boys become gay?

One does not become gay; one is born gay. Similarly, if you are straight you did not choose to be straight, you were born straight and simply always have been straight. For gay people it's the same. (However, remember there is such a thing as bisexuality, which is different from being straight or gay.)
People are born gay or straight and do not "go" gay.
People do not just "go gay."

Many homosexuals are mocked and generally treated as lesser citizens; I don't think anyone would choose to subject themselves to such treatment.

There is a part of the brain which determines whether we are attracted to females or males, and psychologists are studying this more in depth, especially within the last ten years.

There have also been studies to prove that male's with older brothers are more likely to be gay--something to do with the mother's body rejecting the male DNA more with each pregnancy. Research into this is still in the early stages.
They don't. Sexual orientation is unchangeable. It is impossible for a straight guy to become gay.

This is a very difficult and complex question; there is still a lot of debate. Many people hold that some boys are born gay, and there is nothing that they can do about it. There may be some genetic/physiological basis for this claim; the response to sexual stimuli is so primal and strong. Others say that it is a learned pattern of behavior that can be changed, leading to the conclusion that because it ''CAN'' be changed, it ''SHOULD'' be changed. There is not much good evidence that this orientation can be reliably and consistently changed, or changed for a significant number of people, not even for those who sincerely try. The frustration that can be experienced by people who try can be harmful if not devastating.

Many young people, boys and girls, will experiment as they grow, and this has nothing to do with their basic long term orientation. Men will sometimes have experiences with other men through the college years and even beyond, and will settle into a straight orientation for the rest of their lives without complications or regrets. Others may remain capable of enjoying sexual relationships with both men and women throughout their lives. Somewhere between 10 and 15 percent of men (it is hard to know with accuracy) will identify as gay, and will have very few if any relationships with women.

There is also the less frequently discussed bonding that often happens between men in relationships that have a kind of ''warrior'' component. There can be an intense love between men who have shared various challenges or interests or who have formed very strong friendships (these challenges can but do not have to include actual life and death warrior experiences on the battlefield). This love can manifest in sexual ways that are strongly egalitarian and typically do not include bodily penetration. Men who enjoy these relationships usually identify as straight. This too is a controversial topic, and even supporters of gay rights in general may have less than supportive things to say about it.

It probably makes most sense to think of sexuality for men and women as being more flexible and fluid, and not absolutely fixed. It seems to me that whatever the truth about the origins and permanence of sexual orientation, as long as people are not forced, NO children are used or exploited for ANY sexual purposes, and activity is between responsible and consenting adults, then we should be less concerned about sexual orientation and more concerned about extending rights to everyone.

If boys are gay, then it's normal and natural for them. That's what we are. So being gay feels right for us.

Being gay can also be acquired especially if a boy enjoys s*xual relationship with gays. Later he will get use to it and will be curious to try it with other straight boy. And if that straight boy enjoys, the cycle continues. Later on more boys are doing that boy-to-boy sex play.
