Even though they are considered Illegal Immigrants, they still hace a strong set of rights that our constitution provides them. Our constitution clearly states the following "Nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws," applied to all persons "without regard to any differences of race, of color, or of nationality," and to "an alien, who has entered the country, and has become subject in all respects to its jurisdiction, and a part of its population, although alleged to be illegally here." This amendment got rid of any conroversy. the supreme court interpreted that everyone has equal rights despite their legal status, color, or religion." As you can see, Immigrants do have rights in the country. They might lack some rights such as the ability to vote. however, people often make the assumption that they do not have rights. furthermore, it is important for illegal immigrants to learn about their rights in order for them to stop being taken advantage of.
