Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has hailed the private sector's help and social responsibility for strengthening the economy along with the mobilization of investors and initiative for increasing the network of professionals in the country.
Inaugurating the 45th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in the capital on Monday, Khanal said utilization of the locally available resources has contributed in economic and social development of the country through the entrepreneurship and institutional services catered by the private sector.
The PM said that the government is confidence that investment flow, employment generation and revenue collection will increase if the private sector was promoted and assured confidence, adding that the government was committed to promote, conserve and facilitate the private sector.
Saying no country can go ahead sans industrial development, the PM said political wrangling in the country has also hindered the economic development of the country.
"The country should move toward the direction of economic revolution and industrial peace should be maintained to achieve the economic revolution", said the PM. Frequent series of strikes in the industrial estates have hindered the process of establishing industrial peace, said PM Khanal.
He said rule of law and assurance of security; transparency and guaranteeing liberalism are the top priorities of the government for the investment friendly environment in the country.

They should acquaint themselves with the various poverty alleviation programmes of the Government and help the poor people to avail of the benefits embedded therein. They can help them to avail micro finances from financial institutions to start cottage and small scale industries to stand on their own feet.Above all, they should act as liaison between various government bodies and these ill fated people struggling hard to come out of acute poverty.
