Bullies or groups of bullies are often a product of the environment in which they grew up in or, they are not confident in themselves without realizing it and often will take out their frustration and anger on the weakest people around them. Some bullies can also just have a mean streak in their character and enjoy harming others either verbally or physically.

This type of bullying is called a 'pack frenzy' where there is a ring leader who is the bully and his/her friends join in just for the fun of it. If any innocent student or students see such an act as this and walk by they are no better than the bullies. This type of action should be reported to the school counselor! More and more good students in some schools in the United States and Canada are starting 'Bullying Programs' to protect the victims of bullying and it is working because out of the hundreds of students in one school there are only a very few bullies. Teachers; parents; police and again good students are becoming more proactive to stop this type of bullying. Bullies or gangs of bullies are most often spineless when alone and become much more active verbally or physically if their group of peers is around. Bullies generally come from dysfunctional families (rich or poor.) Soon the bullies will have to pay a very dear price legally even if a minor which they certainly deserve.
