Pulaski, Tennesee in l967 organized by General (CSA) Nathan Bedford Forrest. There is some evidence of proto-Klanlike orgs as far back as the aftermath of Gettysburg. (l863)

NBF did not start nor was he a founding member of the KKK.

Predominantly in the southern US, but they also have had groups in northern states, and they still exist, though they are presently not quite so open about their activities.
