Cesar Chavez and Rene Descartes both exemplify the power of thought and action in their respective fields. Chavez, a labor leader and civil rights activist, used his intellect and strategic thinking to advocate for the rights of farmworkers, while Descartes, a philosopher and mathematician, revolutionized Western philosophy through his method of doubt and emphasis on reason. Both figures have significantly influenced their domains—Chavez in social justice and labor rights, and Descartes in philosophy and mathematics—showcasing the impact of critical thinking on societal change.

Boycott
Cesar Chavez helped the farm workers because as a young boy his dad was in an accident so he had to drop out of school so that his mom wouldn't have to work in the field, so he worked so she wouldn't have to. He saw first hand what the farm workers had to endure and wanted to help them as much as himself and his family
