Christians believe in a 'triune' god. That is a SINGLE God but with 3 distinct aspects which are:-

God the Father,

God the Son (Jesus Christ)

and God the Spirit.

This may seem strange, but if you think about it, an Uncle with children while an Uncle to you is both a Father (to his children) and a Brother (to your mother or father) - 3 things but still one person.

Answer:

Acts 1:4 The Holy Spirit is the promise of God the Father.

1 Corinthians 3:16 We the true believers are the true temple of God and the Holy Spirit indwells within us.

Acts 2 The Holy Spirit gives the true believers gifts of the Holy Spirit as He determines (even today):

  1. The Word of Knowledge
  2. The Word of Wisdom
  3. The Gift of Prophecy
  4. The Gift of Faith
  5. The Gifts of Healing
  6. The Working of Miracles
  7. The Discerning of Spirits
  8. Different Kinds of Tongues
  9. The Interpretation of Tongues

Galatians 5:22-23 There are fruits of the Holy Spirit as well

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Ephesians 1:13-14 He is the Comforter, and a deposit of what is yet to come.

13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory.
