Gay people are not evil, they are just sinners as all people are. Homosexuality is a sin because it goes against the plans God has for us.

The Bible says "In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth." there is A GOD, ONE GOD, and ONLY one God. In the Bible homosexuality is called "sodomy". God destroyed two entire cities because of the sin of sodomy. God designed Marriage to be a Holy bond between one MAN and one WOMAN. He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, or Mary and Eve. The people themselves are not evil necessarily but their sin and their actions are evil.

A:I do not know whether homosexuality is genetic, the result of early upbringing or acquired as the result of adult preference. I will leave the experts to answer that question. What I do know is that homosexuality seems impossible to shake off.

Another thing I do not know is that being gay is evil. If people are genuinely unable to stop being gay, it seems wrong to call it evil. It seems to me that something is evil when it causes harm or distress to other people. So, while moderate religion is almost always good, religious intolerance is evil because of the harm and distress it causes. Fortunately, Christianity teaches us not to judge others lest we be judged.

As far as the Bible defines sin (lawlessness in 1 John 3:4), homosexuality is just one of a list of sexual sins in Leviticus 18. The Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 6 shows that homosexuality is one amongst many that will keep a person out of the coming Kingdom of God on Earth. All sin requires repentance and the outward sign of baptism as the Apostle Peter told the crowd on the 1st Pentecost in Acts 2:38-39.

A main teaching in the Scripture is that man is stubborn and desires to rule himself - not answering to a higher authority - defining rules/laws as suits at the time. History reflects how well we have done over the millennia. The Bible tells us we must do a 180* and turn from our ways to the way of God and this can only be achieved with full repentance (a deep personal look at oneself and rejection of all that is wrong) and asking God's Holy Spirit into one's life - begetting that person into walking as Jesus walked - entering through the narrow gate. It is a choice each must make alone.

Opinion:Homosexuals are firstly human beings, children of a loving Father in Heaven. He gave them a life to use either for good or for evil. Many people are taught that any sexual sin is evil in the sight of God and to all decent minded people. They believe that sexual sin is a tool of Satan which he uses to great effect in bringing souls away from the light of Christ. They spread that homosexuality is an unnatural act of self gratification. A man may be attracted to another man, even to the point of loving one another, but they believe that is as far as it must go. They preach that love between two men must be of a brotherly kind, as one brother would love another. Having said this I now come back to the question "Are homosexuals evil"? I believe that if a man knowingly and purposefully takes part in a sexual act with another male, then both the man and the act are evil. Does this then mean that God does not love that man? No! For God's loves all of His children, it is their evil acts that He despises. All of Gods children who take part in such acts can be cured, with proper counseling and acting upon that council, they can live a life that is in obedience to those laws that are set out by his Father in Heaven. But, and let's stick with this scripture thing for a moment, those two verses are from the minds of two plain men, Moses and Paul. Too often these two men have been misinterpreted, and as mentioned, the passages can easily be misinterpreted. Now, consider the words of Christ himself, "But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground." (John 8:7 & 8, NIV). Let's get real for a minute; accepting your assertion that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that the words of Moses and Paul are part of that, how much wight do you give to the actual words of Christ?

Frankly, what happens between two people is between those two people and God, and this is by Christian pholosophy. For anyone else to comment on it, to judge the behavior or actions of those two people is committing a sin himself. Commenting on what you believe to be a sin neither makes it a sin, nor does it excuse your commenting on it. While one course of action may not be right for you, and you may very genuinely believe it is wrong, that means it only is not right for you, and is wrong for you.
