Well, first of all, not all of us "like to do it from behind." (By the way, if someone wants to do that to you, they should be willing to let you do it to them, if you want to!) And there are those of us who do it from behind just because we haven't tried any of the alternatives.

Anal intercourse can feel very, VERY good -- for both partners, if it's done right. It can also allow a lot of body contact, depending on the position you choose. Remember, just because you're the receptive partner doesn't mean you have to be passive. But if it's not your thing, suggest the alternative you prefer.

If the reason you don't like anal is because it hurts, look for a book called Anal Pleasure and Health, by Jack Morin (YES Press). There are other books out there, but this is the one I've found most helpful.

Most important: you are entitled to whatever kind of sex you want, as long as your partner agrees!
