A straight guy likes women. He thinks two women are better than one. It can also be the other way around, where a woman thinks gay guys are hot.

Also, there is the "economics" and practical considerations of relationships. A heterosexual man, typically an insecure one, is worried that if a guy likes other men, then such a guy will approach him. If there is no fear that something might happen, then there is no need to feel contempt. Just tell the guy "No thanks" and move on. Now, if unwanted touching were to occur, that is called assault regardless of the genders involved, and it might be wise to call the police in that case.

A straight man would not find lesbians to be a threat. Either that is because of a fantasy where he thinks he can win them, or because he knows they are not interested. Sometimes lesbians deliberately try to make themselves appear unattractive to men, and while a man might feel disgusted, he likely doesn't take them seriously or see them as a threat.
