Why you should have freedom?

==One Answer== Freedom leads to personal and intellectual growth. With freedom, you need to do your own thinking and make your own decisions. No one does that for you. It forces you to take responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of your actions. Freedom is not for the lazy or undisciplined. They fail to thrive in a free society. Freedom means more work for the individual but the rewards of living in a free society are worth the effort.

This is an interesting question. I think, like me, not many people who live in a democratic society think of this, we just take it for granted.

But, as humans, we instinctively desire freedom. It allows us to do what we want, when we want, and that ideal is hard-wired into our brains. However, society in general do not want Anarchy, which is complete freedom. In an Anarchist society, there would be no law, no government, no emergency services, and most importantly, terrorism, riots and violence would roam free and spread like wildfire, not a society you would want.

So, in conclusion, we should have freedom in order to create a free and open society, but only to a certain extent, to prevent Anarchy.
