The term ghetto has not changed concoction. A ghetto is a ghetto and not a good place, so I would imagine they feel the same as they always have.
Basically, it means that although someone lives in the ghetto, they don't/won't 'succumb' to the stereotypical attitudes and activities such as welfare, food stamps, etc. They also do not want anyone to think they can't support themselves, nor do they want them to think they rely off government programs.
To 'find the social significants' of something what that means is that what really is important about that certain something. i think you will find that i asked what soc ial significance is not how to find it ! social significance is about how an issue for example is significant in todays society ! its the significance it has on a social society .
Because they're older than you, and they've done the things you're doing, so they think they're know-it-all's.
i think about 100000,0000 people
People think about other people from the past because either they have had a loved one die or maybe a good friendship they want to remember so they continue to think about the person because they might miss them. Or as parents, we like to think about and recall memories of our children when they were tiny tots (in the past) because we have good and loving feelings about our children that we like to remember.
He was in some sort of prison camp inside German occupied Poland- in the Battle of Krakow ( howitzers played a role, sorry about the two-stage bang)- but as he is not Jewish it is stretching things to call him a Holocaust survivor or refugee. POW, yes, ____ According to the Wikipedia article on him, Roman Polanski was half Jewish and was forced into the Krakow Ghetto, but he survived ... I think he counts as a Holocaust survivor.
It seems funny to think that half of the guys who rap about the ghetto have never been in a ghetto in their lives.
Ghetto means poor or low class. And I don't think he is poor because he is famous and rich.

I just read the book Night by Elie Wiesel for a college course I'm taking about the Holocaust. Everyone in the ghetto was sent to a concentration camp if they didn't die while they were in the ghetto. Most were sent to Auschwitz initially at least. I don't think I need to explain what happened to many of them.
NO! It is actually a noun or a place, most people use "ghetto" as adjective. But that is not the correct was to use it! And ghetto is not a bad word either.
I've heard this from a Holocaust survivor's son that usually, if entering and breaking in houses, the Nazis shot the dogs first. Mostly dogs who were considered the "guard dogs." Other dogs who had their owners taken away from them became strays I think like cattle did in the Salem Witch Trials when their accused owners were being imprisoned.
