Hello..wow interesting question but hard to answer as Afro-chileans are not officially recognised in the chilean population census. Ther are a few organisations that represent afro-chileans such OroNegro, Lumbanga and Cachimbo Negro and they estimate that there are over 3,000 + in Chile, mainly in the North like in the cities of Arica, Azapa Valley, LLuta Valley, Camarones...There is a mis-conception that people of African origin in Chile are either from neibouring Peru or immigrants from Colombia or Cuba..in some instances this is true , especially in Santiago but the slaves were introduced to all of Latina America, including Chile..hope this helps

This community has faced historical discrimination and exclusion, leading to social and economic disparities compared to the majority population.
