As of 2010, 1.1% of the population of Utah claimed to be black. Utah's population is about 2.7 million, so that means that there are approximately 27,000 black people in Utah. (this does not include those who said they were 'more than one race'.)

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not keep membership statistics based on race, so it would be impossible to know simply because there are no records of it.
