1/4 ...including my family. I watched my dad die from alchohal abuse when i was in 7th grade. Never drink when you have kids. PLEASE!
Approximately 15 million adults in the US have an alcohol use disorder, with many more engaging in risky or harmful drinking behaviors. Alcohol abuse is a significant public health concern in the US, leading to various health and social consequences.
According to the World Health Organization, alcohol is estimated to cause 3 million deaths globally each year. These deaths are often attributed to a range of alcohol-related causes, including liver disease, accidents, and violence.
76,000? The CDC reports that around 35,000 died of liver disease related to alcohol, and another 41,000 or so died in alcohol related car accidents. MADD reports around 13,000 auto deaths with a BAC of over 8%- apparently the CDC is not so lenient. The Florida Medical Examiners Commission reports 4179 DUI alcohol deaths in Florida, and 466 alcohol overdoses, but does not mention cirrhosis and liver cancer. With the 4179 figure in Florida reported by medical examiners, I extrapolate that the CDC number is probably more on the mark nationwide than the MADD numbers. I would guess that the figures are underreported a bit, because many families refuse autopsies for their obviously drunken relatives. These figures also don't reflect criminal acts like murders and suicides, many of which are directly alcohol related. And by the way, in Florida, compared to the above figures for alcohl deaths, marijuana deaths came in at 0- that is, Zero, zip, nada, none. Except for Bob, who died of a heart attack from obesity, in front of his computer, with Cheeto stains on his private parts and a roach smoldering in the ashtray.
There are around 200 families living in the area.
No, slaves were not treated well. They were considered property and were often subjected to harsh living and working conditions, physical abuse, and had little to no rights or autonomy. Slavery was a grave violation of human rights and a dark chapter in history.
Deaths can be caused by the abuse of alcohol, not by the moderate consumption of it. No one knows how many people die from the abuse of alcohol each year.
The American Civil War was fought to prevent the ruination of the nation by slavery. Alcohol abuse has been the ruination of many families throughout history.
No one knows how many deaths occur as a result of the abuse of alcohol.
None die of drinking alcohol, only from the abuse of alcohol.
There are many signs of alcohol abuse, including feelings of guilt, shame, and paranoia. Abusers also often black out.
absolutely not. when someone has an alcohol addiction, it affects their friends, their family, and even their coworkers (if they are employed). Alcohol addiction is destructive and if it happens to you or someone you love, it can tear people apart. Alcoholism has torn many families apart and will tear many more apart. so, the answer is no. alcoholism affects everyone.
Loads are affected
People do not die from alcohol, only from its abuse.
Over time many millions

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People don't die from alcohol but from alcohol abuse. Whether directly or indirectly, there are far to many people who have died because of alcohol abuse. But as long as you consume alcohol responsibly it can contribute to better health and longevity. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, AS THIS IS HOW A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THE DEATHS OCCUR
