In the first place Australia has a system where people that are homeless are able to get assistance e to find accommodation. no person need be totally destitute as every Austrian has the right to benefits that are given for unemployment or other reasons for not being able to work. there are also many charitable organisations that do what they can to help those that have become homeless for one reason or another.. health care including hospital care is also freely available to all Australians along with subsidized medicines to defray expenses. as the political incentives are tending to move more to the right there seems to be less time reserved for those that are less fortunate. however the homeless could do a lot worse.
We do our best to look after homeless people. We have dozens of church and other organizations helping the homeless find food, shelter, and clothing.
We do not treat them horribly.
