emo simply means emotive so if it good to you than go with you think

There are many different kinds of emo that people need to realize. It's very hard to see the differences unless you know the person specifically, but hopefully this will help.

First, there is the emo that i consider to be real emos. They are living what emo is supposed to be, in my opinion. They see the world differently that people who may be the preps or the smarties or whatever you are. They tend to be quiet, but have sooo much going on inside. Not necessarily depressed, though they can be at times, but so is everyone! If i had to label myself as a few things, this would be one of them. I have never and never will put physical harm on myself, so stop saying that all us emos do! We see the world as something realistic. We understand love, life, and what we're here for. We're quiet, like i said, and this can come off as depression or a stuck-up attitude. No, we are confident in ourselves, why else would we dress the way we do? It's a way to express ourselves and who we are. If we were weak and had no self-esteem, how could we come to school looking likes something that kids prosecute? We listen to emo, pop, electronic, music, yes, but whats wrong with that? We dress darker, that's just our personality. It doesn't automatically make us an satan-worshipper or something. For example, I AM A HARDCORE CHRISTIAN. But emo is a sense of mind. It is just how people look to express themselves and see the world. So don't hate. Also, we're not all bisexual, gosh.

Second: Yeah, some people who cut themselves, are suicidal, and suffer depression call themselves emo. But really, they are not seeing the world from a sensible manner. I'm not discrimating, but these people are not the same as emo. Just remember that not all emo people are physically damaging to themselves.

Third, emo is a style of music. 30 Seconds to Mars, Owl City, All Time Low, MEtro Station, My Chemical Romance, All-American Rejects, Paramore... They all are considered 'emo' bands. You like emo music? Good for you, you have a genre that you enjoy. Why is this such a bad thing?

So all you emo-haters: Maybe you should get to know the person first.

So- Is Emo bad?

It can be.

Is it always, HECK NO!
